The short answer
Why the beach winner loses here
A molded EVA tote is rigid by design, which is what makes it tip-proof and hose-washable. Rigid also means it occupies the same volume empty as full and will not squash into a suitcase. For a flying holiday that is the wrong property — you need the bag to be flat on the way out and full on the way back.
Soft-sided wins on luggage and loses on the beach. The usual solution for people who travel often: a soft packable bag for flying, and a rigid tote that lives in the car at home.
What makes a bag luggage rather than a tote
- Carry-on dimensions. Neso states its tote is carry-on size, which is precisely the fact a traveler needs and almost nobody publishes.
